Great British Gardens

The other day I was planning a quick getaway and didn’t quite know where to go! Wanted something not too close but not too far either!

Then I stumbled upon this Great British Gardens site – which I actually knew about but had completely forgotten! Another win for my memory (go me).

If you’re in the area

and didn’t know about it (or had forgotten), check it out and have fun! In all my years in this game, I’ve visited loads of beautiful gardens – some stunning, some quirky, some in full bloom (and some… well, let’s just say they needed some TLC).

Overall, the site’s still super easy to navigate – really straightforward to find and search for stuff (big plus for them).

The recommendations are brilliant

worth every penny! Many I’ve seen before, but since they change with every season, a visit from a few years back will NEVER be the same.

It’s mad how nature changes! That flower that was there 1+ years ago might not be there anymore, or it definitely won’t be the same colour or in the same spot.

That’s why every visit’s unique – even if you’ve been before, it’s always worth going back.

Also worth checking out their recommendations for less-known spots, usually near the big names.

They pack in loads of useful info too – opening times, if it’s pet-friendly and more – it’s all there!

Some places don’t have many photos, but if you go, take loads and tag me on socials (tag them too)!

Anyway, this was a great rediscovery – I’ve been here for hours already planning my next trips. Hope you like it and visit as many as you can – tell me all about it!

PS: Don’t forget to check out the Season Calendar I published. I’ll keep updating it, and feel free to send me stuff to put there!

In general, it’s a calendar organized by season, followed by the months within each season, along with what’s good to plant and what tends to bloom well during that time.

Cheers!
