As we talked on this “Spring is almost here” and on this “Spring is here“, and since you folks sent me some questions about the plants that are blooming in Spring (UK)

Tulips
Bloom beautifully between March and May. You should plant them in autumn (September to November), they thrive in the cold so they can bring you a smile in spring!

Daffodils
Bloom from February to April.
They should also be planted in autumn, just like tulips. They love the cold too and are usually the first to bloom, often the ones to welcome spring!

Lavender
Bloom from late spring into summer.
Lavenders, on the other hand, are best planted at the start of spring. They grow quickly in drier soils with plenty of sunshine. A favourite among bees and butterflies.

Bluebells
Bloom between April and May. The best time to plant them is in autumn (September to November), preferably in shaded areas.

Primroses
Bloom from April to May and can be planted in late summer or at the very start of autumn. They’ll set the tone for spring!

Hyacinths
Bloom between March and April, and to flower in spring, they need to be planted in autumn (September to November). They love drier soil and plenty of sunshine.
